Jan. 22--Shiloh village trustees have pledged $50,000 to the Scott Field Heritage Air Park, an airplane display planned for the Shiloh Gate area of Scott Air Force Base.

Mayor Jim Vernier said the donation is a good use of tourism dollars collected from the hotel-motel tax. A $25,000 payment will be made this year with $5,000 being pledged for each of the next five years.

The nonprofit Scott Field Heritage Air Park organization and its president, Bob Dintelmann, have approached seven area communities and the Metro-East Park District for support on the …
