Jan. 13--New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer on Wednesday defended his high-profile prosecutions of financial malfeasance against investment banks, mutual funds and insurance brokerages from critics who claim he has trampled on individuals' rights.
Spitzer, who last month announced he would seek the Democratic nomination for governor of New York, spoke Wednesday to about 40 donors at a $250-a-plate fund raiser in downtown Oklahoma City.
