Superior, Wis., receives $1.9 million for stormwater system upgrade.

Jan. 12--The city of Superior has received more than $1 million to improve its stormwater system.

During a Tuesday press conference at the Government Center, $1,940,000 in section 154 environmental infrastructure program money was awarded to the city for replacement and upgrades to lift station six, located along U.S. Highway 2 in Allouez.

According to Mayor Dave Ross, the federal monies will pay for the entire project, which is a major commitment to protect the Great Lakes.
