STUDIO CITY, Calif. _ The banishment was so swift that we sushi-bar diners never saw the victim.

First came a guttural "No!" from the stony-faced 59-year-old chef, followed by a brisk wave of his hand. By the time we turned around, the woman was out the door, shouting, "I'm writing to Zagat's about this!"

Later, in his thickly accented, fragmented English, Kazunori Nozawa explained that he'd banned the woman from his tiny Sushi Nozawa over a previous dispute that had something to do with lobster hand rolls vs. crab rolls or toro rolls.

Nozawa runs his premier sushi eatery his way, by his rules, and if you don't like it, bye-bye _ as Charlize …
