In Mozart's Cosi Fan Tutte, Fiordiligi and Dorabella are sisters, but could their suitors Ferrando and Guglielmo be brothers as well? This nifty premise sets the stage for a recital of Mozart arias and duets by Christoph and Stephan Genz, a tenor and baritone who are real-life brothers.

Mozart's duets for this combination, however, are few: two, to be exact. "Al fato dan legge" and "Secondate, aurette amiche," both from Cosi, feature attractive and uncomplicated vocal writing in thirds and sixths, along with luscious woodwind phrases.

Arias make up the bulk of the CD. Christoph Genz, the tenor, sings some interesting pieces, including the lengthy concert aria "Misero! O sogno," "A te fra tanti affanni," from the rarely heard cantata Davidde Penitente, and two substitute arias for other composers' works--the rather ...
