Discussing vocal technique with a singer is like discussing religion at a dinner party. It is fraught with emotion, and there is no way to reach a consensus. Every singer knows the one true way. Everyone was saved from error by a lucky chance that set her on the right path to salvation. And everyone else, in that singer's eyes, is wandering in the wilderness.
The only thing everyone agrees on is that vocal technique is in decline. Nobody knows how to sing properly. Except, of course, for the speaker's own particular teacher.
