SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. _ Michelle Wie didn't need long to figure out how to draw a mock glare from Paula Creamer, and it has nothing to do with 300-yard drives.
All she has to do is call Creamer "Princess."
"It's really funny," Wie said Tuesday, smiling at the thought. "She gets so annoyed when I say that."
The teenage duo might as well get used to each other. This figures to be a long-running show, featuring two of the brightest beacons on the horizon for American women's golf.
At this week's U.S. Women's Open, some already are speculating whether the seeds are being planted for a rivalry.
"I'm sure we'll be considered on-course rivals for the rest of our lives," Creamer said. "You get a feeling that's the way it's just going to be."
