Jan. 9--School bells will be ringing on Wall Street -- practically within earshot of the New York Stock Exchange's opening and closing bells.

Manhattan-based MetSchools is constructing lower Manhattan's first private school inside a nine-story 1920s marble building at 41 Broad St., a block from the Big Board.

Claremont Prep, set to open in fall 2005, represents company president Michael Koffler's effort to do his bit for downtown's post-Sept. 11 revitalization.
