De La Rue reorganises brand protection and Holographics.(Corporate Results)
The publication of De La Rue's half year results have included the announcement that the company's Global Services Division is to cease as a separate operating division. The division was set up in 2000 and encompassed the group's brand protection, financial and government and identity systems businesses, as well as De La Rue Tapes and Holographics.
De La Rue's turnover for the first six months of 2003 was [pounds sterling]290m ([+ or -]US$506m/[euro]411m; up 7.6%), with profits before tax, exceptional items and goodwill amortisation of [pounds sterling]19.7m ([+ or -]$34m/[euro]28m) a marginal increase over the first six months of 2002).
