FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. _ Some New Year's resolutions are easily achieved in a short period of time.

However, Philadelphia Flyers coach Ken Hitchcock's No. 1 resolution for his team is likely going to take sustained effort and won't come easily. Hitchcock wants to see dramatic improvement in his team's penalty killing.

It begins Friday in Sunrise against the Florida Panthers.

"Our penalty kill was right there in the top three (in the NHL) at the beginning and we want to get that back," Hitchcock said Thursday, relaxing at the team's hotel on the beach. "That is going to be our focus in the New Year and for this ...
