Madsen losses starting position over injury.(Knight Ridder Newspapers)

ST. PAUL, Minn. _ You can throw out that old saying "a player can't lose his starting position because of an injury," with the Minnesota Timberwolves. That's because coach Flip Saunders doesn't believe in messing up a good thing. And forward Mark Madsen is paying the price for it.
Madsen went through a stretch in which he missed 10 of 11 games because of a back injury. He returned to the lineup Dec. 20 without a starting position and without a set spot in the rotation.
