DAVIE, Fla. _ The owner didn't need to go far to find the first candidate for the Miami Dolphins' new personnel honcho.

However, the question is how much of a candidate Rick Spielman really is. Spielman, the senior vice president of football operations and player personnel, met with H. Wayne Huizenga and team president Eddie Jones for an hour Monday morning, to discuss the possibility of him being named to the new position.
