KRASSIMIRA STOYANOVA: Oh, this is the type of audience I live for! And what singer doesn't love performing in this magnificent hall, with its incredible acoustics? You can feel the anticipation of the spectators. They are eager to listen, to discover, to talk about it. It's an audience with knowledge and understanding. It lives with the music. It's fantastic!
ON: Your repertoire doesn't include many belcanto operas. What are your thoughts on treading this new vocal path?
KS: I imagine bel canto singing as a very fine, beautiful, elegant line, with its cadenzas as special accented trademarks. You can't sing it as agitato as you would sing Verdi, whose music is much stronger ...
