Byline: Michael Cunningham
DAVIE, Fla.*_ The Miami Dolphins on Monday signed free-agent cornerback Jimmy Wyrick to replace Jamar Fletcher, who is out for the season with a broken left forearm.
Wyrick played four seasons as a reserve for the Detroit Lions, including the first seven games this year.
He suffered a bruised sternum Oct. 26 at Chicago and missed the next two games before being released on Nov. 15.
``I am feeling pretty good,'' Wyrick said. ``I just want to get out there.''
Wyrick, whom the Detroit Lions signed as an undrafted free agent from the University of Minnesota in 2000, has played in 43 games.
He said he has played outside on wide receivers and inside against slot receivers.
