Feb. 7--American Airlines' decision to put smaller regional jets on its Wichita-to-St. Louis route will likely mean fewer low-cost seats for passengers, airline consultants said Thursday.
One benefit of the change, however, is more scheduling flexibility for travelers as the airline increases service on the route from four to five flights a day.
Beginning March, American will replace 130-seat MD-80 jetliners used on the route with 44-passenger Embraer regional jets.
