DENVER _ That some players skipped the Bulls' chartered flight home late Tuesday to scatter to various locales for the All-Star break seemed fitting. The Bulls, after all, are a team that could go in several directions once action resumes Feb. 11 against Detroit.

Do they ride veterans in an attempt to win or develop youth? Do they make a trade or stand pat with their young corps of players and grow?

Such topics were discussed by club Chairman Jerry Reinsdorf, general manager Jerry Krause and coach Bill Cartwright in an afternoon meeting here, hours before the Bulls took the Pepsi Center court to face the Nuggets.
