WASHINGTON _ While officials said is still too early to know exactly what happened to Columbia, it is highly doubtful that foul play is involved.

"There is no reason to believe there are any links to terrorism at this point, but we are fully investigating the situation," said a Bush administration official.

For one thing, officials said, the doomed shuttle flew too fast, too far above the earth to be vulnerable to a terrorist strike.
