PHILADELPHIA _ Here's all anyone needs to know about Larry Brown. After avoiding reporters on Thursday, he showed up on Friday lamenting that they write things about him without showing him the courtesy of making a simple phone call to get his take on matters. Reminded that reporters had shown up to do just that, Brown said, "Well, I didn't want to talk to you guys."
And so it goes.
Loquacious one moment, reclusive the next. Exhausted one day, energized the next.
Give this much to Brown: He could have irked Gandhi if given enough time. But he's never, ever boring.
After enduring one losing streak after another in this season of so-far-unfulfilled promise, the Sixers beat Milwaukee on Tuesday and then promptly suffered a devastating loss to Atlanta on Wednesday.
