Jan. 25--With the third-grade Colorado Student Assessment Program tests less than a month away, many schools are again focused on whether their young students have the skills necessary to read proficiently.

One Fountain-Fort Carson School District 8 elementary school was concerned it wasn't doing enough to help students read, so the staff started using a program to help good readers advance and poor readers reach proficient levels.
