A November study published in "Experimental Biology and Medicine" points out the health values associated with tomato-based foods, including pasta sauce.

The products are associated with a lower risk of a variety of cancers and might help prevent heart disease.

The report is based on studies presented at the American Health Foundation's International Symposium, sponsored by the American Health Foundation with a grant from Campbell Soup Co.

"Americans should consider including tomatoes and processed tomato products as part of an overall healthy diet that includes five or more servings of fruits and vegetables daily," …
