Jan. 14--Have you figured out Graffiti, the alphabet-scribbling system for Palm devices? Well, forget it.
PalmSource, the Palm spinoff that controls the Palm operating system, said Monday it is ditching Graffiti in favor of a different program called Jot.
Graffiti is based on the idea that any letter (except X) can be written without lifting the pen from the device -- which made for confusing and contorted Ts, Qs and Fs. It also helped launch handheld computers into the mainstream.
