Jan. 9--LAKE WYLIE, S.C.--DEVELOPER PAYS $12.5M FOR GOLF COMMUNITY: Robert C. Rhein Interests of Charlotte paid $12.5 million to its partner to become the sole owner of Palisades, a 1,040-acre planned golf community on North Carolina's Lake Wylie.
Palisades will include villages with more than 2,000 homes, a golf course, an equestrian center and a retail complex, off N.C. 49.
Crescent Resources, the real estate development arm of Duke Energy, and Robert C. Rhein Interests were planning the project together on part of a 1,500-acre peninsula southeast of the Buster Boyd Bridge.
