DALLAS _ Chris Simms was the first Texas player to come in the interview room after the Longhorns' 35-20 Cotton Bowl victory over LSU on Wednesday. Simms stood at the podium and didn't need to hear a question. The Texas quarterback knew what he wanted to say.
"I can walk in here with a smile on my face for once," Simms said. "It's about damn time, too."
The cynics will say that the last pass of his college career was an interception, an experience Simms is all too familiar with at the Cotton Bowl.
But his final game at the historic old stadium left him with a far better feeling than the previous times he took ...
