FORT WORTH, Texas _ He spent the Rose Bowl pushing around Cornhuskers and the summer pushing around a pickup truck. This season, Willis McGahee has pushed his way to the front of Miami's record book.
McGahee, a 6-foot-1, 224-pound sophomore, is the Hurricanes' record-holder for rushing yards (1,686), touchdowns (27), points (156) and all-purpose yards (2,036) in a season. Impressive work for a player who admits he was "going through the motions" last year before replacing an injured Najeh Davenport in the Rose Bowl.
