Rudy Valee was once asked how he managed to look so young and vigorous at age 78. He immediately replied that it was due to a brown powder called STAMINEX which didn't taste very good, but he wouldn't be a day without it. NOW, Lewis Laboratories has made STAMINEX available with Stevia Extract which has dramatically enhanced the flavor.

If you don't bounce out of bed each day with anticipation and enthusiasm, or if you have almost forgotten what it's like to feel REALLY GOOD, you may be depriving yourself, unknowingly, of what you have a right to expect from life. The following scientific findings may give you a new insight into nutrition and they are the basis on which our product, STAMINEX, was developed. It is the still unfolding story of the INTER-DEPENDENCE between nutritional factors and the absolute necessity for nutritional BALANCE.

Balanced Nutrition and Health

We all know that specific nutritional deficiencies are the cause of hundreds of different illnesses. We also know that, when a group of people are exposed to an infectious disease such as a cold or 'flu, some will come down with it and others won't. Why this is so is not precisely known, but we DO know that a healthy body has elaborate and complicated defense mechanisms to protect it from all kinds of threats to its well-being. The ability of these to function is closely related to nutrition. At this time, it is common knowledge that EVERY nutrient--vitamin, mineral or protein--is effective ONLY when potentiated by OTHER nutrients.

Protein and Vitamin A

A few years, ago, an American Medical team in India found thousands of children suffering from Kwashiorkor, a protein deficiency disease. They sent for tons of powdered milk but, to their amazement, IT DID NO GOOD. Months later, a second team of Doctors, specializing in eye problems, treated the children with Vitamin A along with the powdered milk. They immediately noted a remarkable improvement in the protein deficiency symptoms. It has since been established that without Vitamin A the body is unable to use protein.
