This disc isn't really a recital per se but a recap of some highlights in Cecilia Bartoli's fifteen years as a Decca recording artist. The program is handsomely presented, with full texts of all tracks included (remember when this wasn't regarded as a luxury?) and an affectionate essay on the mezzo by Max Loppert. Several cuts represent full-length Bartoli opera recordings (Rinaldo, La Cenerentola, Il Turco in Italia, Cherubino's arias from her Claudio Abbado-led Figaro), others her recital albums, including two cuts apiece from her triumphant forays into rare Vivaldi and Gluck arias.
