Nov. 21--AT&T CABLE SERVICE LIKELY TO BE EXTENDED: AT&T Broadband's cable franchise in Bedford would be extended by 10 years under an ordinance that received preliminary City Council approval Tuesday.

As a condition of the extension, AT&T has agreed to make a $45,000 capital grant to the city, said Keith Rinehart, the communications manager for the city.

The money would be used to upgrade video equipment the city uses to record City Council meetings, Rinehart said.
