--Mercedes-Benz will unveil the performance version of the redesigned E-Class sedan at the Chicago Auto Show in February. The E55 AMG will have a supercharged 5.5-liter V-8 that develops 467 horsepower.
--A redesigned Chevrolet Malibu sedan is due next fall as a 2004 model, and a sketch released by General Motors shows it will have conventional styling and a transverse grille bar like that on Chevy's trucks.
