Nov. 21--KLEINFELDER, a 69-office engineering firm with a Modesto presence since 1963, recently was selected by a trade publication as the sixth-best civil engineering employer in the nation.
The October issue of CE News magazine featured the 25 top civil engineering firms from 102 submissions.
The publication's "2002 Best Civil Engineering Firm to Work for Contest" recognized firms that "offer employees amazing places to work and opportunities for the future."
Kleinfelder, which has more than 1,600 employees spread across 15 western states, is progressive with its employee ownership and tradition of promoting from within.
