Nov. 14--The chief executive officer of AirTran Airways couldn't give a ballpark figure on how much the airline has lost since coming to Wichita in May. But he said nobody at the airline has discussed leaving.
"When we go into markets, we go in to stay," Joe Leonard said after speaking to supporters of the city's Fair Fares program Wednesday night at the Hyatt Regency Wichita.
AirTran has left other markets, but Leonard said the company did its homework before committing to Wichita. He also said the airline's Chicago route will stay as well.
