MIAMI _ Days before Rilya Wilson disappeared, her caregiver hit the girl on the legs with a switch hard enough to raise welts, according to documents released Friday by prosecutors.
Geralyn Graham, the woman who took care of Rilya Wilson, made the admission after failing a lie detector test on April 30, a Miami-Dade police memo states.
Although authorities have already said Graham was not truthful in the exam, details of the interview had not been made public. The documents, contained in 2,600 pages of investigative material released by the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office, reveal for the first time that Rilya may have been hurt in the home.
