The San Jose Sharks fired Darryl Sutter on Sunday. They lowered the ax only 18 days into the hockey season. Eighteen days? But isn't this the second month of the NHL season?
Not for the Sharks. As they were supposed to be constituted, they have only been together since defenseman Brad Stuart was signed Nov. 13, which was just three weeks after goalie Evgeni Nabokov ended his holdout.
But hey, it's panic time. Fire the coach.
