Why can't the charmed and chosen ones be the Indianapolis Colts, 8-4 and atop the AFC South after a convincing if unmemorable 19-3 win over the Houston Texans on Sunday at the RCA Dome?
Sure, it's easy to list reasons why it probably won't be the Colts. The offense is erratic. The defense is vulnerable. The special teams aren't always all that special, give or take a Mike Vanderjagt mile-high field goal. But, given a break or two, why can't the story of the NFL's final month and January playoffs be the Colts?
