Packers dodge bullet vs. Bears.(Milwaukee Journal Sentinel)
GREEN BAY, Wis. _ As an answer to a two-game losing streak and, more important, a declaration of their eventual worthiness as a permanent playoff host, the Green Bay Packers provided scant comfort to all but the fanatically indoctrinated Sunday that their 30-20 victory against Chicago was little more than a ritual Bear killing.
Of course, it could have been a complete disaster as opposed to merely a warning against future results. Despite their record, the Bears aren't altogether some buffoonish outfit that should be transferred posthaste from Fox to the Cartoon Network.
