Soprano Waltraud Meier (Leonore) was Munich's Sieglinde in Walkure before coming to the Met, where she bowed in 1988 as Fricka in Rheingold. The Wurzburg, Germany native sings concerts in Munich, Graz and Copenhagen before returning to opera next month as Santuzza in Vienna Cavallerias. After Sieglindes in Vienna and Madrid, she takes on Isolde for Berlin's Staatsoper in April.
