Aug. 17--Florida A&M University's Board of Trustees turned down a suggestion Thursday by President Frederick Humphries to send early applications for his job to an off-campus site for privacy's sake.
That "protects the confidentiality for the applicants," he said.
Trustees, however, decided to have applicants forward material to Carrie Gavin, the director of FAMU's Office of Equal Opportunity Programs, until a search firm is hired mid-September.
