Aug. 31--Montgomery residents lamenting the lack of employment opportunities could see a positive shift in the fourth quarter if the latest poll of work force projections holds true.

Manpower Inc. recently released the Employment Outlook Survey -- its quarterly report tracking national and localized hiring trends -- and the forecast for the Montgomery area is promising.

"The Employment Outlook Survey results reveal that 32 percent of companies contacted are inclined to hire more people for the October-December period, while 4 percent are preparing for fewer personnel," said Manpower's Camille S. Thompson.
