Sep. 13--Pfizer Inc.'s four New York City buildings stayed closed Wednesday, a day after terrorist attacks destroyed the World Trade Center in Manhattan and part of the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., but the company plans to reopen them today.
In the meantime, no one at the pharmaceutical firm can go on business travel until further notice. Some tunnels and at least one expressway remain closed in lower Manhattan, while commercial airlines continue to be grounded.
Worried about safety, Secretary of Transportation Norm Mineta could not say Wednesday when he would lift his department's ban on airline operations.
