Sep. 10--Gasoline prices continued to rise in the Southland as the summer driving season draws to the end, the Automobile Club of Southern California reported Friday in its weekly Weekend Gas Watch.
"An increase in pump prices during the time immediately around a holiday weekend is somewhat expected," Jeffrey Spring, Auto Club spokesperson, stated in a release. "However, wholesale prices have been declining in recent days and there is less demand for gasoline now that the summer driving season has ended. Conditions indicate that prices might begin falling again soon."
