Ventura, Calif.-Based Medical Equipment Company Makes Production Agreement.

Sep. 26--Med-Design Corp. (Nasdaq: MEDC) announced Monday that it is giving medical device maker MedAmicus Inc. (Nasdaq: MEDM) the right to manufacture more products based on the Ventura company's safety needle designs.

The announcement comes a week after MedAmicus began first shipments of what will be the first commercially available product based on Med-Design patents, a guidewire introducer safety needle for venous uses that include pacemaker placement. MedAmicus also plans to offer an arterial version of the introducer.
