In a political climate where partisan politics can stonewall progress, we are fortunate to be represented by men and women of integrity who can put aside personal and professional differences in favor of the best interests of their constituents.

I want to thank Assemblywoman Joan Christiansen and her co-sponsors, Assemblymen William Magnarelli and Harold C. Brown, for their support of A7444, home-rule legislation on behalf of several sheriff's deputies who were accidentally placed in the wrong retirement system.
