Joyce Howard and Joann Brown travel the world together. The senior citizens, who have been friends since they were 5, cruised to Morocco, South Amer- ica, Africa and Gibraltar last year.

Right now, the Onondaga and Syracuse residents are thinking about a trip to China.

They took a short trip Saturday to Onondaga and St. Elias Antiochian Orthodox Church's 72nd Middle Eastern Festival because of a love of food - especially sweets - and music.

"They have wonderful pastries," said Howard, seated at a picnic table under a canvas tent that stretched over the small church's parking lot.
