Oct. 8--ONCE AGAIN, BEST SCHOOL WEB SITES UP FOR HONORS: For parents of school-age children nothing is more frustrating than to come home and ask: "So, how was your day? What's happening at school?" Invariably the answer is: "Oh, nothing." Or the real hair-puller: "I dunno."
We ask anyway. It's a ritual. And despite what we hear, we know different, don't we. We just don't know what. We know something's happening at school because the kids keep asking for money for extra supplies, field trips, pictures, new gym shoes and such.
