Oct. 6--Although the amount of emissions at the Piedmont Triad International Airport is expected to increase with the building and operation of the proposed FedEx cargo hub, the Federal Aviation Administration said in a document released yesterday that the area will remain within the general emissions requirements.
The FAA released the second draft of a document concerning air quality and emissions that would stem from the FedEx hub. It stated that the planned improvements would not cause or contribute to the violation of any emissions standard, nor would it increase the frequency of any type of violation.
