Oct. 12--Commercial real estate vacancies are on the rise in Ventura County as number of businesses have canceled or postponed expansion plans in the wake of the terrorist attacks in September, a commercial brokerage firm reported Thursday.
"Some people are shying away from a long-term decision," said Jerry Pelton, managing director of CB Richard Ellis' Ventura office. "And a critical element in the real estate process is long-range planning."
