Oct. 30--Stocks tumbled sharply yesterday as investors rushed out of a market that had staged a nice rally recently.
"It's pretty ugly today," said Jay Suskind, the director of trading at Ryan, Beck & Co. in Livingston, N.J.
Considering the run-up in the market recently, it wasn't surprising to see the market take a tumble, considering the paucity of good news for investors to chew on.
One of the reasons cited for the selling yesterday was fear over the results of some economic reports that are slated to be released later in the week.
