Oct. 30--The New London Development Corp. announced Monday that it has paid $1.9 million for 5.6 acres in Fort Trumbull, closing the deal on the final property transaction needed for the future hotel development there.
The Walbach Street land, one of the largest parcels in Fort Trumbull, was owned by Amtrak and was used as a maintenance facility. It will be used for an extension of Nameaug Street, the main access road to the hotel and conference center that Corcoran Jennison of Boston signed a contract earlier this month to build.
