Oct. 29--In a region known more for smokestacks and train cars than microchips and broadband, those who labor in technology are a forgotten force.
Internet service providers, Web site developers and high-tech manufacturers remain a small but still unheard voice in northwest Pennsylvania -- throwing their energy behind developing their products and attracting customers, rather than marketing their region as a home to high technology, said Chuck Peters, regional manager for Stargate Erie.
