Jan. 6--LAS VEGAS -- The latest advances in satellite radio, plasma TV and wireless computing go on display today here at the Consumer Electronics Show.
The annual event, the biggest of its kind in the world, is also a showcase of any number of lesser-known innovations, such as -- for the aspiring American idols among us -- the PC-based Singing Coach.
More than 120,000 people from 110 countries will be in attendance. Among them will be 2,400 exhibitors and 4,000 members of the media, which is more than attend the Super Bowl and Wimbledon combined.
