Martha Stewart's every move, word and twitch have been followed far and wide since she entered a West Virginia prison last October to serve a five-month sentence for insider stock trading. The latest gibes come in a People mag story that reveals that the maven of all things trimmed, fitted and ornamented lost a prison decoration contest for teams of inmates armed with $25 worth of glitter, ribbons and construction paper.
Stewart's gang of decorating cons made paper cranes to be hung from the ceiling. But they lost to another team, which built a nativity scene that, according to People, had "pictures of snow-covered hills and sleds and clouds on the wall." (Makes you almost want to visit the place.)
We're betting Martha will demand a rematch, maybe an Easter-themed design battle before her release in March.
